about

This is an aural meditation on the damage we have done to our natural world.

Dense layers of samples cover a chugging train-like rhythm while a female voice urges you to pay careful attention. What is she saying? Why is she saying it? These are questions I cannot answer.

At just a few seconds over 39 minutes long, it is an appropriate endurance test for the listener. Twenty minutes would be enough, but the piece demanded that it go on for as long as possible. While it is playing, the damage we have done is doing even more damage. It's a fact of life, not an indictment of our global industrial civilization. Extreme music for extreme times.

Once the piece is over, you can relax. Suddenly everything sounds much more quiet and musical.
